Galaxy Twill - Cobalt
Galaxy Twill is a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton fabric with a very small, fine diagonal weave. It is heavier than cotton, but considered the lightest of all the twills (205g/m2).
Uses: This a high quality fabric is an excellent option for light jackets, skirts, pants and garments that need a bit of structure without the weight and heat of typical jacket materials.
Width: It measures 115cm (44 inches) wide and is sold by the meter. Cuts longer than one meter will be done in one continuous piece.
Care: Fabric can be machine washed and dried. Fabric will wrinkle and soften after washing and ironing will be required. To reduce wrinkles, hang to dry or dry clean.
Sewing Tip: A serger is recommended when working with this fabric. Alternatively, you will want to use some type of finishing for raw edges, such as seam binding or pinking sheers. Pre-washing is recommended. Needle size 12 for most projects.
