Broadcloth - Buttercup
This light weight fabric (105 gm/m2) is a blend of 65% Polyester and 35% Cotton.
Uses: This a basic quality fabric best used for pattern-making (draping) or test sewing a design before cutting your "good" fabric. It can also be used as a lining or a light underskirt.
Width: It measures 115cm (44 inches) wide and is sold by the meter. Cuts longer than one meter will be done in one continuous piece.
Care: Fabric can be machine washed and dried. Fabric will wrinkle after washing and ironing will be required. To reduce wrinkles, hang to dry or dry clean.
Sewing Tip: You do not need a serger to work with this fabric, however you will want to use some type of finishing for raw edges, such as seam binding or pinking sheers. Pre-washing is recommended. Needle size 12 for most projects.
